A goal celebration inspired by Kenyan international Sven Yidah has made its way to the popular video game EAFC 24.
The latest edition of the game, formerly known as FIFA, was released on September 29 with a number of upgrades and additions to enhance the user experience.
One interesting new addition is the HyperMotion technology that aims to increase the authenticity of football gameplay.
In other words, football characters in the game will be able to perform goal celebrations in the most authentic manner possible.

In 2019, Everton visited Kenya for a friendly match with Kariobangi Sharks. The game ended in a 1-1 stalemate and eventually boiled down to penalties.
One stand-out moment from the game was when Yidah, then a Sharks player, stepped up to take his spot kick and once he beat the goalie, his queer celebration involved him clutching at his hamstring as if he had sustained an injury.
Yidah then proceeded with an awkward walk back to his teammates on the touchline as fans cheered at the player for his humorous celebration.
Four years on, and the goal celebration has been adopted in EAFC 24, and thanks to modern technology, it is the carbon copy of Yidah’s initial celebration in 2019.
