- Kevin-Prince Boateng has named Roberto De Zerbi as the best coach in the world
- The former Ghana international was a midfield player under De Zerbi at Sassuolo
- Boateng retired from football in August this year
Former Ghana midfielder, Kevin-Price Boateng claims Brighton and Hove Albion manager, Roberto De Zerbi, is the best coach in the world.
The 36-year-old worked with the Italian manager during his days at Sassuolo, insisting De Zerbi's attention to detail helps players improve.
Boateng enjoyed one of the best moments of his career, at the age of 32, playing for De Zerbi.
"He is the best," he told Vibe with Five. "He is the best in details and being a person, human being. Every team he goes [to], he makes every player better. I played under him and I was 32 and he made me better," he added.
"He was in Sassuolo, every player got better. Locatelli went to Juventus, Sensei went to Inter."
The ex-AC Milan forward also disclosed De Zerbi places a lot of emphasis on details.
"He is all details like everything has a reason. Whatever you do has a reason. He puts little squares on the field so you know you have the ball in the square, four squares is diagonal and there is going to be the number eight free and every player has six options to pass the ball, it is unbelievable," he continued.
De Zerbi has since managed Shakhtar Donetsk and he is currently flourishing with the Seagulls, leading them to Europe in his first season.
Meanwhile, Boateng retired from the sport at the end of last season after a career spanning almost two decades, as reported by footballghana.com.
