Former Ghana midfielder, Kevin-Prince Boateng has urged English giants, Manchester United, to sack manager Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils suffered their third defeat in a row at Old Trafford following a 3-2 loss to Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League.
Pressure is mounting on the Dutch gaffer after a tough start to the season despite the arrivals of goalkeeper Andre Onana, forward Rasmus Hojlind and midfielder Mason Mount.
According to Boateng, ten Hag's treatment of Ronaldo during his time at Manchester United was disrespectful and it is time to let the manager leave.
"He [Ronaldo] was the top scorer and he just kicked him out, he goes against the best player in the team, you don’t do that, you have to give him respect. There are ways to let a player off and I think he chose the wrong way," Boateng said on Vibe with Five, as quoted by myjoyonline.com.
"I think he’s got to go. From what I’m seeing, there’s no energy. I don’t see any energy. And then what he did to Ronaldo and all that, it’s too much stuff. I think he’s not on the level to be the coach of Man United."
The former Ajax manager has also fallen out with winger Jadon Sancho and it seems like the issue has hit an impasse with neither side willing to bend the knee, while he also let goalkeeper David de Gea leave at the end of his contract.
Ronaldo left Manchester United in November, having finished the season before as the club's top scorer, as reported by the BBC.
The Red Devils sit bottom of Group A in the UEFA Champions League after two opening defeats to Bayern Munich and Copenhagen and eleventh in the English Premier League following a rather slow start.
