Steven Pienaar could soon come face-to-face with his fellow countrymen as he prepares for a new coaching role.
The former Bafana Bafana legend was previously at Ajax Amsterdam but has reportedly moved on to a new job in the Middle East.
According to Soccer Laduma, Pienaar has moved to the United Arab Emirates, where he will join Sharjah FC.
The 41-year-old is set to take up a coaching role in the club’s youth structures. He previously had a coaching role with Ajax’s under-18 team.
Pienaar's departure is yet to be confirmed by the Dutch giants and Sharjah are yet to announce his arrival, but the publication reports the move is 'a done deal'.

As noted by Transfermarkt, Pienaar was a trainee coach at Ajax before being promoted to technical coach of the Youth side.
He then became an Assistant Manager of the u/18 side.
Sports Brief also reported on South African legend, Pienaar posting awesome photos of himself shadowing training sessions under David Moyes.
According to the pictures the 40-year-old shared on Twitter, he was spotted in a good mood with the West Ham United manager in training.
Pienaar played at a club level in South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany and England for clubs including Ajax Cape Town, Ajax, and Sunderland.
