Real Madrid midfielder, Luka Modric has shown that he is as good with the ball at his feet as he is with the basketball in his hands.

The former Ballon d'Or winner was spotting hitting threes on the Dallas Mavericks' court while also challenging their star, Luka Doncic, to a contest.

The Dallas Mavericks will be heading to Madrid to continue preparations ahead of the new NBA season.

In a video shared on social media, Modric tried some buckets, making no mistakes from the three-point range.

Doncic was drafted from Real Madrid's basketball team to the NBA, joining the Mavericks in 2018, and has since been one of the best players in the league.

"I've been thinking about this game since they told me we're going to play there," Doncic said ahead of his return to the Spanish capital, as quoted by si.com.
"That game's going to mean a lot to me. I was raised there. I learned how to speak their English, Spanish, well, everything. I learned how to play basketball. That's my second home. I'm very excited to be back there."

Meanwhile, Modric was rested for Real Madrid's clash against Las Palmas in the midweek as Los Blancos strolled to a 2-0 win.

He is expected to be back for the game against Girona in La Liga on Saturday.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Luka Modric's immediate future at Real Madrid continues to herald the footballing headlines despite the midfielder openly affirming his desire to stay.

Modric, who was rewarded with a one-year contract extension at the tail end of last season amid a flurry of talks linking him to the Saudi Pro League, may again be faced with the same scenario, only three months after he signed his current contract with Los Blancos.

As reported by Football Espana, the midfielder, who recently turned 38, downplayed a chance of returning to boyhood club Dinamo Zagreb, stressing the importance of the age he will be turning when his contract at the Spanish capital runs out.
