In a video shared on social media, Williams is seen gifting his jersey, the inner he wore, as well as his shorts to young fans who were eager to have their moment with the striker.

The Basque-born player put smiles on the faces of the fans by also taking photos and signing autographs.

Meanwhile, in a heated encounter at the San Mames, Yuri Berchiche gave the host the lead after just six minutes before Oihan Sancet was sent off at the stroke of half-time.

The visitors levelled the scores after a breakthrough by Gaston Alvarez before Williams restored Athletic's lead on the hour mark.

Juanmi Latasa scored with seven minutes remaining to ensure Getafe left with a point.

In a post-match presser after the game, Williams said:

"Even with ten we have stood up, we have given everything. Now we have to make a good point on Saturday. Derbies are special, there is no favourite and we have plenty of squad [members] to show our face."

Williams has now scored in his last three games in La Liga, earning him a nomination for the Player of the Month award for September in Spain.

Williams powers Athletic Club to victory against Alaves

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Williams continuing his hot run of form in La Liga after netting his third goal of the campaign in Athletic Club's victory over Deportivo Alaves.

The 28-year-old scored early in the game before serving the assist for the second as the Rojiblancos travelled to Estadio Mendizorroza to collect all three points on offer.

Despite his struggles to score for the Black Stars of Ghana, Williams has now scored in back-to-back games in the Spanish league after his return from international duty.
