- Osimhen was on target on Wednesday night for the Italian champs against Udinese
Victor Osimhen has given the clearest sign yet that all is not well with Napoli after he refused to celebrate his goal for the club on Wednesday night against Udinese at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The Nigerian striker was part of the starting eleven during the Serie A clash, with his inclusion coming amid an ongoing row between the player and the Italian champions.
Osimhen and Napoli are embroiled in an apparent feud after the club appeared to mock the forward on social media following his penalty miss over the weekend against Bologna.
The Naples sparked reactions from fans earlier in the week after they posted a video on their official TikTok account mocking their own player for missing a penalty.
Sky Sports reports that the club's social media activity reportedly left the 24-year-old fuming, with his agent, Roberto Calenda even threatening legal action.
Osimhen refuses to celebrate
The feud between Osimhen and Napoli seems to be far from over, with the Super Eagles ace refusing to celebrate his goal for the club on Wednesday night.
The ex-Lille star was among the goal-scorers as Rudi Garcia's men demolished Udinese 4-1.
Piotr Zielinski opened the scoring for Napoli from the penalty spot in the 19th minute before Osimhen doubled the advantage prior to the interval.
However, Daily Star reports the Nigerian superstar turned away before looking to make sure the ball had crossed the line.
Having affirmed he had scored, the towering striker slowly walked around and waited for his teammates to celebrate with him in what was the clearest statement he is still discontent with the club’s hierarchy.

Sports Brief also reported on Piers Morgan urging Osimhen to leave Napoli, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to advise the Super Eagles striker while replying to football insider, Fabrizio Romano's tweet.
The controversial media personality told the Nigerian not to endure mistreatment at the Serie A champions and also told the Napoli striker to consider a move to Premier League giants, Arsenal instead.
