Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen and the Super Eagles are two wins away from claiming the 2023 AFCON title.

The West African giants reached the semi-finals of the competition after a 1-0 win against Angola on February 2.

While Osimhen is having a less impressive season with both Nigeria and Napoli, interest continues to build in the striker on different fronts.

The Nigerian ace is currently in a relationship with Stefanie Kim Ladewig, a German whose roots can also be traced back to Cameroon.

While they have kept their family life mostly private, Osimhen was with his daughter while celebrating Napoli’s Serie A trophy at the end of last season and showed off his partner at the Gran Gala del Calcio awards in Milan in December.

The striker netted 26 goals league goals last season, becoming the first African to win the Golden Boot in the Italian top flight. This helped him win the prestigious 2023 Serie A Player of the Year award at the awards event.

It was the first time Napoli claimed the league title after more than three decades, with the former Lille of France striker playing a pivotal role.

Pulse Sports reports that it is believed that the pair met during the striker’s days at Bundesliga outfit VFL Wolfsburg.

It is believed Stefanie was a cheerleader for the club at the time, but it is not known when the couple started their relationship, as they now have a daughter together.

Stefanie's dad is German, but her mother is from Cameroon.

In 2022, Osimhen disclosed to Il Martino how he celebrates each goal for his daughter.

"It is the most fantastic thing that could have happened to me. I celebrate her after each goal, making the gesture of the initial of her name, H. Her name is Hailey."

Premier League club 'closing in' on Osimhen

Meanwhile, as Sports Brief recently reported, Osimhen could join the Premier League next season, if recent reports are anything to go by.

Chelsea and Arsenal are rumoured to both be pushing hard for the Nigerian international to make the jump to the English top flight soon.

Osimhen extended his time with Napoli last December but the club's hierarchy has admitted this would likely not stop him leaving the Italians.
