According to GOAL, Ronaldo and Messi have enjoyed immense popularity over the past fifteen years, primarily due to their on-field achievements.

However, as the pair approach the latter stages of their careers, it's evident that their popularity has waned.

According to Sportskeeda, Messi's search volume averages a mere nine points, a substantial distance from Swift's impressive score. Ronaldo's standing is somewhat better, at 22 points. Some attribute the decline in their popularity to their recent departures from European football.

Swift, on the other hand, is celebrated as one of the most iconic musicians of the 21st century, boasting an incredible track record.

The American artist has sold over 200 million albums and boasts 12 Grammy awards. Additionally, she holds a remarkable 101 Guinness World Records to her name.

Meanwhile, the duo have been at the forefront of global football dominance, earning an impressive 12 Ballon d'Or awards between then (seven for the Argentine and five for the Portuguese).

However, as Sports Brief previously reported, when questioned about a player he deems on par with his own greatness, Messi named his GOAT rival Ronaldo as the only one on his level.

Sports Brief also reported that in his controversial interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo hailed Messi and Zinedine Zidane as two of the greatest he has ever witnessed.

The bombshell sit-down interview, which contributed to the Portuguese star's bitter split from Manchester United, also included a number of fascinating comments.
