Barcelona manager, Xavi Hernandez has sent a lovely message to his former player Ousmane Dembele, who left the Spanish club to join Paris Saint-Germain last month.
Dembele signed for Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth €50.4 million. He spent six seasons at the Spanish giants but failed to live up to the huge price tag.
Xavi wanted Dembele to remain with the club; they feared they could lose him for nothing next summer since he was entering the final year of his deal. He remains one of the most expensive footballers ever following his move from Borussia Dortmund.
Before he joined PSG, Xavi said he was disappointed with Dembele's decision to leave.
"I am a little disappointed with Dembele," the Barca boss said after the friendly with AC Milan. "He has decided to go to PSG. There is nothing we can do."
The 26-year-old made 180 appearances for the club, scored 40 goals, and provided 43 assists, per Transfermarkt.
Xavi's message to Dembele
Speaking ahead of Barcelona's clash against Mallorca, Xavi had a few words for Dembele. He said that the club found a way to replace him.
"I haven’t seen PSG games, of course I remember, I don’t resent him, I love him anyway and wish him the best, but we have to continue," he said. "We have found solutions with Rafa, Lamine, or Ferran. Sometimes when one player leaves, another one appears, and we’re delighted with what we have," he said, per Barca Universal.
Dembele has made six appearances for PSG so far and registered one assist.

Dembele’s terrible miss
Sports Brief, in a previous report, stated Ousmane Dembele's astonishing miss during Paris Saint-Germain's clash against Nice has taken the internet by storm, quickly going viral on social media.
The 26-year-old managed to spurn a golden chance wide from ten yards with an open goal at his mercy.
It would have been an equaliser for the French champions, who were trailing 1-0 to the unbeaten Nice side in the 28th minute.
