Former Nigerian international Odion Ighalo was spotted wearing traditional Saudi attire to celebrate the Kingdom's National Day.
The Al-Wehda striker joined the people of the Arab nation as they marked their 93rd national day on Saturday as military parades, a biker parade, and arms exhibitions in the major cities were held across the country.
Ighalo was clad in the famous dress, Thobe or Thawb, and shared photos on his X handle to get his followers buzzing.
The 34-year-old moved to Al-Wehda this summer and has already notched in five goals in five matches in the Saudi Pro League this season.
Recall that the former Super Eagles striker also had a stint with rival club Al-Hilal, where he scored 42 goals in 58 matches in all competitions across two seasons, Daily Post reports.
He joined Al-Hilal from another Saudi club, Al-Shabab, in January 2022 and won the Saudi League title in his first season at the club.
After sharing photos, fans stormed the comment section to react. One said:
“Congratulations to all of us from Saudi Arabia.”
Another added:
“Happy Saudi National Day! Wishing all our friends in Saudi Arabia a joyous and proud celebration!”
Although they failed to defend their league title last season, the former Watford of England striker was part of the Al-Hilal squad that won the King's Cup in his last season.
Meanwhile, Al-Hilal thanked the player for his successful stay with them.
