Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged Sadio Mane for providing the assist for his opening goal in the game between Al Nassr and Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League on Friday evening.

The Al Nassr duo have been unstoppable in the league, creating and scoring goals with ease as the Knights of Najd steadily climb the table.

In a cracking game against Al Ahli, Mane wasted no time in finding the leading goal scorer, Ronaldo, as the host opened the scoring after four minutes.

Ronaldo quickly run to the Senegalese forward to celebrate him for the assist, as spotted in photos shared on social media.

Anderson Talisca doubled Al Nassr's lead 13 minutes later before Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie halved the deficit.

The Brazilian restored Al Nassr's two-goal lead at the stroke of half-time, but the visitors responded five minutes after the break through Riyad Mahrez, who scored from the spot.

Ronaldo netted his second of the game two minutes later as Al Nassr put the game beyond their rivals.

However, late into the match Firas Al Birakan pulled one back for Al Ahli.

Mane joined Al Nassr in the summer transfer window from German giants Bayern Munich. The former Liverpool winger helped the club win the Arab Club Cup championship in August, as reported by CNN.

Ronaldo and Mane receive gifts from Iran

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Al-Nassr stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane left Iran with gifts from their hosts, Persepolis following their AFC Champions League clash this week.

The arrival of the team sent Iran into a frenzy, with thousands of fans flooding the streets of Tehran to catch a glimpse of the Portuguese veteran and his teammates.

Ronaldo and Mane were pivotal as Al-Nassr strolled to a 2-0 victory in their opening group game, thanks to Mohammed Qassem and Abdulrahman Ghareeb.
