In a thrilling encounter on Thursday afternoon, it was former Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum who opened the scoring for Steven Gerrard's men in the second minute, per kingfut.com.

Mensah responded seven minutes later before giving his side the lead halfway through the first half, but Al-Ettifaq responded before the break through former Celtic forward, Moussa Dembele.

After the break, Mensah restored Al-Tai's lead to complete his hat-trick, as reported by ghanasoccernet.com.

However, Wijnaldum responded with 19 minutes remaining to level the score and with the game headed for a draw, Dembele snatched a late winner for the hosts.
