The Berlin-based club showed a lack of intensity in their marking during a corner in the latter stages of the second half.
Substitute Federico Valverde had enough time to take a shot at the goal from outside the box, and after a couple of deflections, the ball landed at Bellingham's feet. He calmly slotted it into an empty net, much to the delight of the home fans, GOAL reports.
He made his way to the corner flag to perform his now-famous celebration, in which he stares into the crowd, his eyes fixed and arms outstretched. Interestingly, the Madrid fanbase chose to join him by imitating his gesture.
