  • Jude Bellingham joined Real Madrid earlier in the summer in a move from Borussia Dortmund
  • The midfield sensation has continually impressed since making his switch to the Spanish side
  • Bellingham recently equalled a record previously held by former Galactico Cristiano Ronaldo

Real Madrid players and fans have developed a strong admiration for the outstanding performances of Galactico signing, Jude Bellingham.

The 20-year-old English midfielder, who has consistently impressed many since making his switch to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, once again came up clutch in the 95th minute to secure Los Blancos’ fourth win on a bounce against city rivals, Getafe.

Bellingham has found a rich vein of form ahead of the first international window of the 2023/24 season.

Bellingham, who currently tops the La Liga scoring charts with five goals, has remarkably matched a record previously held by the club's most iconic player, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Bellingham equals Ronaldo’s record

The former Borussia Dortmund star, with his attempt from close range against a resilient Pepe Bordalas' Getafe side, became the first player to score in all of his first four La Liga appearances since the Portuguese legend, according to Madrid Universal.

Bellingham’s prowess in front of goal has not gone unnoticed and his teammate, Brahim Diaz took time to hail the young midfielder following another of his stellar displays.

When asked about the ₤103 million man, the former Malaga star said, translated from a quote by the Spanish publication:

"With Jude, we had a connection off the pitch, from the very beginning. On the field too. He’s one of a kind."

Real Madrid's head coach, Carlo Ancelotti also didn’t hold back his praises for the Bellingham.

When asked if he has been surprised by the former Dortmund midfielder's start to the season, he replied as quoted by Managing Madrid:

"His quality isn’t surprising anybody, but his number of goals is surprising. He scored around 15 with Dortmund last season, so I think he can reach that no problem. He’s very professional, and he has a lot of examples [of] professionalism in this squad."

Ancelotti will hope Bellingham continues his brilliant form as the team faces powerhouse, Real Sociedad in its first fixture after the international break.

Bellingham recreates Zidane’s iconic goal

Sports Brief also reported on Bellingham evoking memories of Zinedine Zidane during a Real Madrid training session ahead of their clash against Getafe.

Pictures circulating online showed the midfielder flawlessly replicating the iconic volley from the Champions League final against Bayer Leverkusen back in 2002.
