Dayot Upamecano has hailed Victor Boniface as 'a great striker' after facing the Super Eagles attacker in a recent Bundesliga game over the weekend.
The France defender had a tough time keeping the Nigerian in check during Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw against Bayer Leverkusen in a top-of-the-table clash on Saturday, September 16.
According to SB Media, Upemecano and Boniface swapped jerseys after the match in a show of mutual respect and the Bayern Munich defender commented on his opponent hailing, him as one of the best he has faced.
"A great striker. Fast, big, strong, it was a lot of fun playing against him."
Boniface has had a blistering start to his career in the Bundesliga since joining Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, netting four goals in his first four appearances in the German top flight for Xabi Alonso’s team.

Boniface's strong start has already earned him the distinction of being the third player, behind Paco Alcacer and Erling Haaland, to score six goals in his first three games in the top flight league.
