  • David Moyes is confident Mohammed Kudus will make an impact at the club
  • The Ghana international joined the Hammers in the summer transfer window
  • Kudus made his home debut in the game against Manchester City on Saturday

David Moyes insists midfielder Mohammed Kudus will need time to settle in at West Ham United as he gradually finds his way into the starting team.

The Ghana international has made two appearances for the Hammers, coming on as a substitute in both games. Kudus was introduced in the final minute of the game against Luton Town before coming on earlier in the defeat to Manchester City on Saturday.

The former Ajax star arrived at the London stadium with a huge reputation and fans are eager to see more of the Ghanaian.

"We might need to wait a little bit more time for Dinos [Mavropanos] and Mo [Kudus] to get settled in," said Moyes after the game on Saturday, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.

The 23-year-old had been in phenomenal form for both club and country before his West Ham move, scoring a hat-trick in his final game for Ajax last month, as reported by max.com.gh.

Kudus also scored in the games against the Central African Republic and Liberia for Ghana during the international break.

The ex-Nordsjaelland player is expected to make his first start for West Ham in the Europa game against Backa Topola on Thursday.

West Ham fan travels to Ghana to watch Kudus

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a West Ham United fan travelled all the way from London to watch Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus play for the Black Stars against the Central African Republic.

The newly-signed West Ham player delivered after scoring a sensational free-kick to help the Black Stars beat the Central African Republic and qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The fan extolled the qualities of Kudus, stating he travelled from England to watch the new Hammer.

Kudus scores as Ghana beat Liberia

Kudus and Ernest Nuamah were on target for the second game running as the Black Stars produced a second-half masterclass to beat Liberia in Accra on Tuesday.

The four-time African champions, who secured AFCON qualification after beating the Central African Republic last Thursday, began early preparations with a friendly against the Lone Stars.

Following a barren first half, Nuamah broke the deadlock after expertly finishing off a brilliant pass from Stephan Ambrosius just five minutes into the second half.
