Jude Bellingham could not have wished for a better start to his career at Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.

The young midfielder is fast acclimatising to the culture and demands of his new terrain. He scooped up the Spanish league’s Player of the Month award in his first month with Los Blancos.

Bellingham, who was involved in six goals in the first four games of the season, as reported by Football Espana, pipped his opponent on the night, Takefusa Kubo, amongst other stars, to the award. The Santiago Bernabeu crowd did not fail to show the English midfielder its love.

The 20-year-old presented his award to the Bernabeu ahead of kick-off against Real Sociedad, and was greeted with the rapturous sound of the famous Beatles song “Hey Jude”, according to reports from Talksport.

While Bellingham didn’t find the back of the net on the night, the midfielder played the duration of the game and was instrumental to Carlo Ancelotti’s side's comeback win against Imanol Algualcil’s Sociedad.

Two assists from left-back Francisco Garcia, met by Federico Valverde and striker Joseph Marto, were enough to cancel out Ander Barrenetxea’s opener.

Los Blancos had little scares after they took the lead as they effectively nullified any attacking threat the Basque Republic side offered in the second half.

Bellingham and Real Madrid will now shift their focus to their UEFA Champions League tie against German debutant Union Berlin.
