Fabinho has made a positive start at his new club, Al-Ittihad, in the Saudi Pro League. They are top of the table after winning five of their first six games.

In their last match, the former Liverpool midfielder went viral for the wrong reasons, which overshadowed a hard-fought 1-0 win over Al-Akhdoud.

Fabinho started the game alongside fellow newcomers N'Golo Kante, Luiz Felipe and Karim Benzema. The former Real Madrid striker scored the only goal in the 73rd minute to hand Nuno Espirito Santo's men an important win.

Benzema now has three goals from six appearances. His former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top of the goal-scoring charts with six goals from four appearances.

Against Al-Akhdoud, Fabinho was taken to the cleaners by Leandre Tawamba. As Fabinho tried to casually close him down, the Cameroonian pulled off a filthy nutmeg on the Premier League winner, leaving him stunned. You could see defeat in Fabinho's body language.

Fans on social media did not spare Fabinho. They unleashed thousands of memes, mocking him.

Fabinho joined Al-Ittihad in July in a deal believed to be worth £40 million. He signed a three-year contract, per ESPN.

Fabinho gifted expensive watch

After a game last month, a supporter waited for the 31-year-old in the tunnel as the players left for their team bus, to surprise him with the present.

In a video which has since gone viral on social media, Fabinho looked surprised by the gesture as he showed gratitude to the fan.
