Taking to Instagram to express his excitement, the 38-year-old posted a photo of himself and a teammate in training with the caption: 'Happy to be back'.

Ronaldo, who was named Saudi Pro League player of the month following his blistering start to the season, as reported by Marca, will now shift his focus to continuing his team's early season resurgence as they prepare for their clash against Al Raed on September 16.

The Al-Nassr captain also recently surpassed a milestone after scoring for the Knights of Najd, becoming the first men's player in football history to reach the 850-goal mark in professional football.

Coach, Luis Castro will be leaning heavily on the expertise of the Portuguese veteran and Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane to propel his side through to a potential title charge.
