Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to his Saudi Pro League club, Al-Nassr following an eventful international window with his national team, Portugal.
The 38-year-old, who has been pivotal to a host of victories recorded by the Selecao in recent years, was less instrumental in the recent run of matches by Roberto Martinez's side.
Ronaldo, who failed to find the back of the net away at Slovakia, saw himself suspended for his nation's second fixture against Luxembourg, having accumulated multiple yellow cards.
However, the former Real Madrid star remained with his national side despite his inevitable absence as he watched Portugal coast to a record 9-0 win against Luxembourg.
Following the conclusion of the international window, the forward has returned to Riyadh and is clearly glad to be back with his club.

Taking to Instagram to express his excitement, the 38-year-old posted a photo of himself and a teammate in training with the caption: 'Happy to be back'.
Ronaldo, who was named Saudi Pro League player of the month following his blistering start to the season, as reported by Marca, will now shift his focus to continuing his team's early season resurgence as they prepare for their clash against Al Raed on September 16.
The Al-Nassr captain also recently surpassed a milestone after scoring for the Knights of Najd, becoming the first men's player in football history to reach the 850-goal mark in professional football.
Coach, Luis Castro will be leaning heavily on the expertise of the Portuguese veteran and Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane to propel his side through to a potential title charge.
