Khama Billiat remains conspicuous in his absence.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star continues to keep a low profile despite being linked with a few clubs.
The Zimbabwean player was last seen at Chiefs’ Naturena Village on June 29, a day before his contract with the club was due to expire.
As noted by the club’s website, they reached out to the player to negotiate a contract extension, but couldn't get in touch with him.
The club claimed that the attacking midfielder didn’t answer any calls or reply to texts sent to him. His contract eventually expired, and he has since become a free agent.

The South African reported that Billiat was spotted partying in Harare since leaving South Africa, but had remained largely off the radar.
The player has not been active on social media, and it is unclear whether he is still in South Africa or is permanently in Zimbabwe.
A move to Egypt for Billiat?
With his status up in the air, The Citizen then reported that Billiat had signed for Egyptian side Zamalek.
The publication claimed to have seen the contract as well.
The article was published a month ago, and there is still no word on the player. The club have not officially announced his signing, and he isn’t part of the team that returned for pre-season preparations.
Billiat has also been linked with a move to Europe and with teams in his native Zimbabwe.
