Besiktas star, Vincent Aboubakar played an inspiring role as five-time African champions, Cameroon sealed a spot at next year's tournament after beating Burundi in a must-win game in Garoua.
The veteran forward sealed victory for his side with a thunderous strike as the Indomitable Lions beat Burundi 3-0 on Tuesday night.
Cameroon almost missed the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast after defeat in their penultimate game against Namibia recently.
However, in a video shared on social media, that would not be the case this time around.
Aboubakar finished off a brilliant move after powerfully firing past two defenders in the Burundi post, having already beaten the goalkeeper.
After a tough first half with both teams going into the break without a goal, it was Brentford forward, Bryan Mbuemo who opened the scoring after the break with a fine finish.
Christopher Wooh doubled the lead before Aboubakar completed the victory with a 90th-minute goal.
Cameroon, who won the 2017 edition in Egypt, will be hoping to add their sixth AFCON title when they travel to Ivory Coast for the tournament next year.
Cameroon's Eto'o reacts to AFCON qualification
President of Cameroon's football association, Eto'o took to social media to celebrate the Indomitable Lions after they qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
He wrote on Instagram:
"To the twelfth player from Garoua [the fans], and to the thirty million supporters of the Indomitable Lions: OUSSOKO!"
"To captain Vincent [Aboubakar] and his entire team who gave everything to give us this resounding victory, thank you."

FootballEto'o also lauded the fans across the country whose sincere support had 'instilled a winning dynamic' in the national team.
"To all of you, supporters who travelled to Garoua, to the people of Garoua who made our choice of Garoua as the city for this meeting, a winning bet, what can I say to you?"
Ghana qualify for AFCON 2023 after CAR win
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Ernest Nuamah scoring a winner for Ghana as they came from a goal down to beat the Central African Republic and qualify for AFCON 2023.
