Former Super Eagles and Everton striker, Yakubu Ayegbeni was spotted training with British professional boxer of Nigerian descent, Anthony Joshua recently.
Ex-heavyweight champion, 'AJ' is currently preparing for a blockbuster bout with Deontay Wilder but talks about making the fight official seem to have stalled.
Boxing promoter, Eddie Hearn was reportedly closing in on a deal to put the two heavyweight boxers in a ring together in Saudi Arabia before things ground to a halt.
With a date for the fight not forthcoming, Joshua took time to train with former Nigeria international, Ayegbeni at the Finchley and District Amateur Boxing Club in the United Kingdom.
The former Super Eagles striker posted a picture of himself and the former world champion on his official Instagram page, with both of them holding up a triumphant fist and dripping with sweat.
This is not the first time the Super Eagles legend was seen training with AJ, as he did so a few years back when the latter was still the reigning World Boxing Association champion, according to GOAL.
In 2017, the former Everton striker was pictured alongside the 33-year-old boxer at the same location.
The Yak, as the Super Eagles legend has been fondly called, has also shared pictures and videos of himself displaying his skills in throwing a punch.
