Lionel Messi has arrived in Bolivia, and fans can't get enough of him.

Messi mania in Bolivia

The Inter Miami striker posted a photo on one of his Instagram stories of him carrying his luggage as he made the trip to the South American country.

Argentina fans also gathered to meet and greet the players of La Albiceleste as they landed in Bolivia. They went crazy once Messi arrived in the South American nation.

Messi joining the squad is a welcome sight for Argentine supporters.

Messi leads Argentina past Ecuador

He reminded everyone of his importance to the national team, scoring the lone goal in their opening World Cup qualifying match against Ecuador, per ESPN.

The 36-year-old netted a superb free kick, leaving the Ecuador goalkeeper rooted to the spot as the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s set-piece went over the wall and into the back of the net.

Injury concerns for Messi

He set alarm bells ringing, however, when he asked to be substituted during the 89th minute of that contest, with Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni confirming after the match that Messi “felt something.”

Inter Miami coach Gerardo Martino eased fans’ concerns, saying he doesn’t think Messi sustained a serious injury and he expected him to make the trip to Bolivia.

Messi undergoes medical tests

Just to be sure, Messi took precautionary medical tests over the weekend to see if he suffered an injury.

Sports Brief reported that fans gathered outside the facility to cheer their hero on.

Doctors gave him the all-clear to travel to Bolivia. It remains to be seen, however, if he will start this coming Tuesday or come off the bench in the match against Bolivia.
