Endrick, who is set to join Los Blancos in the summer of 2024 when he turns 18, recently sat down in an interview with French outlet L’Equipe where he revealed a few things about himself, including Real Madrid players that have been sources of inspiration to him.

Endrick on Real Madrid players inspiring him

The 17-year-old highlighted how he has modelled his gameplay around former Captain Karim Benzema and further compared his traits with that of the Al Ittihad forward.

“I’m a number nine with a soul of a number 10. I have loved Benzema since his years at Lyon. When Cristiano left, he became another player, a scorer, and an assistor.
I watched him a lot and his style of play is very inspiring.”

The Brazilian star also revealed what current Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. said to him after he finalised his transfer to Santiago Bernabeu.

“Viní Jr told me I was going to enjoy myself [at Real Madrid], have fun and that it would be the highlight of my career.”

Endrick who is currently experiencing one of his poorest forms in front of goal, further highlighted how his mentality was built to suit the demands of the Bernabeu.

According to reports from Marca, Endrick’s arrival is expected to herald the summer of 2024 at the La Liga giants.

Endrick escapes brutal tackle unhurt

Sports Brief in a previous report stated Endrick was on the receiving end of Corinthians midfielder Maycon’s brutal sweep as he charged down the field in a late counter-attacking play in the 93rd minute.

Maycon, who initially received a yellow card for the brutal tackle, was subsequently sent off after the Video Assistant Referee intervened.
