Ghanaian youngster, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku could not hide his excitement after completing his loan move to former English champions, Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old joined the Foxes from Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon on transfer deadline day.

Issahaku made his debut for the club in their English Championship clash against Hull City on Saturday, coming on to strike the post late in the match.

In a video shared on social media, an excited Issahaku was spotted dancing during his media session on the day of his unveiling.

The talented winger nearly scored on his debut for the King Power Stadium outfit as they lost narrowly to the Tigers. He is expected to help Leicester City return to the Premier League at the end of the season.

"He is that kind of player who is very good in one vs. one, he has quality, but he arrived only three days ago and the season is very long," said Leicester City manager, Enzo Maresca, as quoted by lcfc.com.

Meanwhile, Issahaku expressed delight in joining the club at the 'right time' and said it was an amazing moment for him.

"I’m so happy... I’m happy to be here. For me, from looking at Leicester and how I felt about the coach, here is the best place for me... I chose [Leicester] because I think they can grow me and help me mature. [Maresca] told me about the plans he has for me and how he wants me to play - how he wants to help me in my football."

Issahaku will remain in England during the international break after missing out on Ghana's squad to face the Central African Republic.

Ghanaian joins Leicester City on loan

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on highly-rated Ghanaian star, Isshaku completing his move to Leicester from Sporting Lisbon as he continues his development in football.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Portuguese giants in 2022, joined his new teammates at the King Power Stadium after receiving league and international clearance.
