NBAMohamed Salah: Saudi Arabia Newspaper Sensationally Claims Al-Ittihad Deal Is "Done"
- A Saudi Arabian newspaper has sensationally claimed that Mohamed Salah’s move to Al-Ittihad is complete
- The Liverpool ace has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks
- Al-Ittihad are prepared to tempt the Egyptian with a mammoth deal that would see him become the highest-paid player in the Saudi Arabian league
Mohamed Salah is on the verge of a mega-money move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, according to a sensational report by a newspaper in the Middle-Eastern country.
Salah signed a three-year contract extension at Liverpool last summer, but this has not quelled interest from Saudi Arabia, who have captured some of football’s biggest names in the summer.
Al-Ittihad has been the club most interested in the Egyptian, and Saudi Arabian newspaper Okaz now claims the move “has already been agreed”.
The publication further claims that Salah has touched down in Jeddah ahead of the blockbuster move, but none of the reports have been confirmed.
As reported on Express Sport, it is believed Al-Ittihad are willing to pay up to £118million for Salah, who has been regarded as the Gulf state's 'crown jewel'.
The league is so intent on acquiring Salah, that Saudi Pro League chief executive Saad al-Lazeez travelled to Europe earlier in the week to help push late deals.
Al-Ittihad vs. Al-Hilal
Amid the Salah saga, Al-Ittihad, who are one of the giants of Saudi Arabia football, will come up against Al-Hilal on Friday, September 1, in a crunch league game.
The publication Okaz speculates that Salah could be in attendance at the game.
If Salah somehow completes the move to Saudi Arabia, he will become the highest-paid player in the league, ahead of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and N’Golo Kante.
The 31-year-old is said to be interested in the move, but is unwilling to knock heads with his parent club Liverpool by forcing a transfer. Therefore, the transfer is largely dependent on Liverpool, who remain keen on keeping their star forward.

FootballKane’s message after drawing United
In other news, Sports Brief reported on Harry Kane's message to Manchester United after Bayern Munich drew the Red Devils in the Champions League group stages.
Kane left Tottenham Hotspur on a long overdue move amidst continuous attempts to rid his career of the stigma of having not won a trophy despite being one of the best goalscorers in the world.
The Champions League draw gives Kane an opportunity to return to England quickly after moving away from his country. The group also has Danish club Copenhagen and Turkish giants Galatasaray.
