Yassine Chueko has been grabbing the headlines recently for following the Argentine star up and down the sidelines while he is on the pitch playing for Inter Miami.
The ex-U.S. Navy Seal may be thinking of a career change soon, though, after executing a perfect pass to Messi during the Herons’ game against Nashville SC on Wednesday night.
Chueko's pass goes viral
The ball went straight to Chueko, who was patrolling the sidelines to provide security for Messi.
He delivered a great pass with his right foot to Messi, who was going to the corner flag to hit a set piece.
Fans took to social media to react to Chueko's pass.
One fan said, "Messi’s bodyguard knows ball."
Another user wrote that Messi’s bodyguard is one pass away from joining Inter Miami.
Apparently, this wasn’t the only instance that Chueko passed the ball to an Inter Miami player during the match.
He was caught on video getting the ball right back into play during stoppage time so that the Herons would have a quick throw-in opportunity.
Zach Lewis praised Chueko, writing that he delivered a ‘perfectly weighted pass.’
Inter Miami's winning streak ends
Messi and co. had to settle for a point on Wednesday as Nashville held them to a goalless draw at DRV PNK Stadium, per Yahoo Sports.
It was the first time since Messi joined Inter Miami that they failed to win a match.
The Herons remained in 14th place in the Eastern Conference following that stalemate, with 22 points scored out of 24 matches.
