Erling Haaland and Bukayo Saka headlined the list of winners at the 2023 PFA Awards held on Tuesday night.

The two footie stars were impressive during the season under review, with Haaland's goalscoring heroics helping Manchester City beat Arsenal to the Premier League title.

Saka, on the other hand, inspired the Gunners to an unprecedented Premier League title challenge as they finished second on the log to secure Champions League qualification for the first time in six years.

According to The Sun, Saka was crowned the Young Player of the Year, with Haaland scooping the Player of the Year accolade.

Haaland won the award ahead of his fellow teammate Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham Hotspur legend Harry Kane.

The Norwegian's triumph saw him become only the second City player to win the crown after De Bruyne.

Incredibly, he is also the first player to take home the crown on his debut season since Ruud van Nistelrooy in 2001/02.

Manchester United's Marcus Rashford was voted as PFA Fans' Player of the Year.

OneFootball reports that the winger carted home the prestigious gong after an impressive run of form with the Red Devils that saw him score an eyewatering 17 goals as well as bag five assists.

De Bruyne gifts teammates

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Kevin De Bruyne was named Manchester City's new captain after the departure of Ilkay Gundogan, and he is already showing his leadership skills with a special gift to his teammates.

According to reports, the Belgian gave out custom-made iPhones to the 24-man squad that won the treble last season, as well as manager Pep Guardiola and owner Sheikh Mansour.
