Kylian Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world and in the last few years, he has been doing great things on the pitch for Paris Saint-Germain and France.

At 24, the forward has achieved so much that even if he retired today, his legacy as one of the best would still be solidified.

Mbappe has won almost everything in his career, with the UEFA Champions League the only thing missing on his resume. Given his age, he could have many more accolades by the time he calls time on his career.

On August 26, he scored his 150th and 151st goal in Ligue 1 for PSG after a turbulent summer transfer window.

The French forward burst onto the scene as a 17-year-old in Monaco’s 2016/17 season. Since then, he's become one of the best players in the world as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo wind down.

At 24, Mbappe has a World Cup medal - something neither veteran had at that age. He also bagged a hat-trick in the 2022 World Cup final despite France losing to Messi's Argentina on penalties. That performance is probably the best in a final in recent memory.

Ronaldo achieved international glory later in his career with Portugal. He helped them win the 2016 Euros and the inaugural UEFA Nations League.

Therefore, the Frenchman has an opportunity to win more trophies than the two icons.

Mbappe vs Ronaldo vs Messi

Ronaldo and Messi are still the biggest football stars in their late 30s. Both of them are out of Europe but are still performing at the highest level.

The Argentine has made an astonishing start for Inter Miami in Major League Soccer while the Portuguese is credited with starting the exodus to the Saudi Pro League.

Messi turned 24 in 2011 and his career was almost complete at that point. He had won the Champions League multiple times and he was on track to win his third Ballon d'Or. In the 2011/12 season, his numbers were stupendous: he scored 73 goals in all competitions that season, with 50 coming in La Liga.

Ronaldo was still at Manchester United when he turned 24 (in 2009). Just like Messi, he had won everything in his club career, helping Sir Alex Ferguson's side win the 2008 Champions League and playing a key role as they won a third straight Premier League crown.

Ancelotti sends subtle Mbappe message

Sports Brief previously reported on Carlo Ancelotti's subtle message to Mbappe after his side’s 1-0 win against Celta Vigo at the Abanca Balaidos.

The Italian manager reiterated his desire not to add any more attackers to his current squad, which he deemed good enough to compete on all fronts.

Ancelotti’s message would likely come as a huge blow for Mbappe, who reportedly could fancy a move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
