Dortmund struggle to keep talents

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund has struggled to retain their brightest talent, losing several world-class players such as Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski.

The team of ex-Der BVB players, including Ousmane Dembele and Erling Haaland, could have achieved great success if retained by Dortmund, Give Me Sport reports.

The loss in talent has seen BVB underachieve in recent years, as they have only won one Bundesliga and one DFB Pokal trophy in the last ten years.

Malen rescues point for Dortmund

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Donyell Malen's second-half goal salvaged a point as Borussia Dortmund were held at local rivals Bochum 1-1 on Saturday.

Dortmund fell behind early, Bochum's Kevin Stoeger unleashing a rocket from the edge of the box to catch the visiting defence off guard.

Malen scored early in the second half, his third goal in his past three matches, to level the scores.
