Enrique coached Neymar in his second season at Barcelona. Their partnership yielded a historic treble and Neymar's best season, statistically.

The Brazil star moved to PSG for a world record £200 million in 2017 and spent six seasons with the French club. He made 173 appearances and scored 118 goals. His time at PSG was marred by constant injury and off-pitch problems.

According to the Athletic, Al-Hilal paid £80 million for the Brazil international, who signed a two-year contract with the Riyadh-based club.

Enrique's message to Neymar

Speaking ahead of PSG's clash against Toulouse in Ligue 1, the former Spain coach applauded Neymar, adding that the move was best for everyone.

“I think it was a favorable decision for everyone. I would like to thank him for the behavior he has shown when I have had him since I arrived. He is a world-class player and I wish him good luck in his new adventure.”

The 31-year-old becomes one of the highest-paid players in the world following the move to Al-Hilal.

“I want to write new sporting history, and the Saudi Pro League has tremendous energy and quality players at the moment. I have heard a lot and learned that I am following a long list of Brazilian players who have played in Saudi Arabia over the years, so I believe it is the desired place,” Neymar said.

He said his goodbyes on Thursday afternoon at the club's training ground.

Ronaldinho's message to Neymar

Brazil legend Ronaldinho sent a beautiful message to Neymar after his move to Al-Hilal was complete, as Sports Brief earlier reported.

He wished Neymar good luck as he embarks on a new adventure of his career.

The two wingers are regarded as the most exciting footballers of all time because of their flair on the pitch.
