Fans are convinced that the Puskas Award has found its winner as Brazilian youngster Lucca executed an incredible bicycle kick against Gremio.

The 20-year-old, who boasts 23 appearances with Internacional's senior team, showcased his skills in the prestigious Copa do Brazil first-round match against Gremio.

Internacional faced a deficit in the scoreline, however, Lucca managed to equalize just before the first half ended in a truly remarkable manner.

Following a lengthy throw into the Gremio box, the visitors failed to clear the ball, leading to a towering header by an Internacional forward that redirected the ball across the goal towards Lucca.

In order to regain possession of the loose ball, Lucca had to step out of the penalty box, per Daily Star.

After finding himself with three Gremio defenders surrounding him, Lucca took one touch to bring the ball down before flicking it over the midfielder’s head and running onto it ahead of two onrushing defenders.

In a video shared on Twitter, Lucca lept in the air and pulled off a ridiculous bicycle kick from just outside the box under pressure from the two defenders who had also thrown themselves at the striker in an attempt to block his effort.

However, Lucca’s strike looped over the two defenders before sailing into the top corner past a helpless goalkeeper to spark unrest in the ground, and from the Internacional players and bench, who all ran on to celebrate with Lucca.

The 35-year-old netted a first-half hattrick to help the Porto Alegre-based club to win the Recopa Gaucha Super Cup.

The Uruguay international bagged three goals inside 37 minutes as they recorded a resounding 4-1 over Sao Luiz in the curtain-raiser for the new season.
