Jordan Henderson has left fans surprised after his seemingly frosty reaction to former Liverpool teammate, Sadio Mane, before their respective teams opened the Saudi Pro League earlier this week.
With Cristiano Ronaldo out due to a reported injury, Mane was stand-in captain for Al-Nassr while Henderson wore the skipper's armband for his new team, Al-Ettifaq.
As the two teams exchanged greetings before the game kicked off, fans were quick to spot an awkward interaction between the ex-Reds captain and a fellow Liverpool star.
In a video which has since gone viral on social media, Mane attempted to embrace Henderson but the Al-Ettifaq captain did not seem to be having any of it.
The Senegalese star looked upset for a moment before moving down the line.
Mane would go on to open the scoring for Al-Nassr after just four minutes following a blistering start by the visitors.
However, Al-Ettifaq responded after half-time through Swedish-born Ghanaian, Robin Quaison, before Moussa Dembele stole the winner for the hosts, as reported by the BBC.
Mane and his teammates will hope to bounce back in their next Saudi Pro League game against Al Taawoun while Al-Ettifaq faces Al-Hazem.
