  • Sergio Ramos is still searching for his next club
  • He has been a free agent since leaving Paris Saint-Germain earlier this summer
  • He is waiting for an offer from Saudi Arabia before making the next move

Legendary centre-back, Sergio Ramos is still a free agent after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. He spent two years at the club and is yet to find a home for the 2023/24 season.

The Real Madrid legend has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia, Major League Soccer (MLS), and Europe, but has not yet made a decision about his future.

Moreover, the 37-year-old was linked with a return to Sevilla, but Sporting Director Victor Orta ruled that out. His salary is reportedly blocking potential agreements.

In addition, Ramos is injury prone, and at his age, possible suitors are wary about his availability over a full season if they want to invest heavily.

A move to Real Madrid has also been mentioned. The club is one centre-back short after Eder Militao suffered an ACL injury this past weekend against Athletic Bilbao, per Marca.

Ramos to Saudi Arabia?

According to Football Espana, Ramos was given a two-year offer by Turkish giants Galatasaray. The deal is worth €5.5 million per year, and if it materializes, he could join the likes of Mauro Icardi and Wilfried Zaha in Istanbul.

Apparently, Ramos has told Galatasaray that he will only accept the offer if he doesn't get an offer from a Saudi Pro League club in the coming days.

Saudi Arabia has been a top destination for players from Europe this year. Ramos's former teammates, Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema are already playing there. His former PSG teammate Neymar is close to completing his move to Saudi Arabia.

Ramos reveals his preferred destination

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that it is believed that Sergio Ramos would fancy a move to the MLS, with reports hinting at a reunion with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

The 37-year-old turned down a contract extension at PSG at the end of last season, and has recently rejected offers from Saudi Arabia and boyhood club Sevilla.

The former Real Madrid captain won over 30 career titles through his 19 years across clubs in Europe, but looks set to be on the move for a fresh chapter.
