  • Hakim Ziyech's car crashed into a bicycle stand in Amsterdam on July 31
  • No injuries or casualties were reported, but the car suffered severe damage
  • The Moroccan is yet to secure a move away from Chelsea

A top-range car belonging to beleaguered Chelsea star Haim Ziyech crashed in Amsterdam, leaving a trail of destruction.

The Rolls-Royce rammed into a bicycle stand in the Dutch capital. Ziyech is understood to have lent the car to someone else and was not inside at the time of the accident.

De Telegraaf reports that the car first collided with a Volkswagen Polo before swerving and hitting the bicycle stand on July 31.

The 360,000 euros car suffered severe damage and had to be towed away from the scene. No casualties or injuries were reported.

Failed move to Al-Nassr

This comes at a time when Ziyech's efforts to quit Chelsea this summer have failed to bear fruit. The Moroccan was destined to move to Al-Nassr, only for the deal to fall through at the last minute after he failed a medical test.

Sports Brief reported that the 30-year-old had a direct 3-word response to his critics amid claims that his move to the Saudi Arabia top flight collapsed because of a knee problem.

On Tuesday, July 4, the Moroccan took to his Instagram to joke about his supposed injury as he shared a photo of his lower body with the caption, “Knee problems, right?”.

He was also supposed to move to Paris Saint-Germain in January, but Chelsea blocked the move at that time.

Chelsea squad numbers 2023/2024

Chelsea's squad numbers for next season have been confirmed ahead of the new 2023/24 campaign.

Several shirt numbers had been vacated following the mass exodus witnessed at Stamford Bridge so far this summer. As many as 25 players quit the club as Mauricio Pochettino embarked on a squad overhaul to kickstart his reign at the West London club.

Mateo Kovacic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Mason Mount, and Kai Havertz headline the long list of senior players who have departed the club.
