  • Jude Bellingham has made a dream start in La Liga
  • The young Englishman scored Real Madrid's second goal in the first half
  • Bellingham made a big-money move to Madrid from Borussia Dortmund for €103 million

Jude Bellingham's La Liga debut went exactly how he expected. He doubled Real Madrid's lead against Athletic Bilbao. The young England midfielder scored Madrid's second in the first half.

Bellingham is one of the most expensive transfers in Europe this summer following his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund earlier this summer.

The 19-year-old was in the right place at the right time 36th minute when David Alaba's out-swinging corner arrived in Bilbao's 18-yard-box.

The Madrid youngster peeled off the box and had ample space and time to hit the ball on the ground before it flew beyond the reach of Bilbao's goalkeeper Unai Simon.

The England international showed flashes of brilliance which is enough evidence that he will have a great first season in Spain.

He started as an attacking midfielder behind Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo. Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Federico Valverde also started in midfield behind Bellingham. It was a perfect start in their 2023/24 La Liga season.

Bellingham Real Madrid debut

Bellingham sent social media into meltdown with a sensational display on his debut for Real Madrid.

Thrown into action by Carlo Ancelotti during a pre-season match, the midfielder adapted seamlessly in their victory over AC Milan on July 24.

Bellingham's performance saw him dominate the midfield, as he confidently held his ground for 63 minutes before Nico Paz replaced him.

Bellingham arrives in training with taxi

Sports Brief earlier reported on Bellingham arriving in training with a taxi.

While a number of Bellingham's fellow teammates rolled into the Los Blancos training facility in opulent vehicles, he opted for a Toyota taxi as his mode of transportation.

Eduardo Camavinga, Toni Kroos, and manager Carlo Ancelotti, among others, made their entrance in BMWs, while Luka Modric showcased his presence with a Bentley.

However, it was Bellingham's choice to arrive via a taxi that captured the hearts of the club's fans on social media.
