Lionel Messi delighted fans once again when he paid tribute to another Marvel superhero following his late goal against Charlotte FC.
The Argentine star channeled Spiderman after scoring his eighth goal for Inter Miami in the 86th minute of their Leagues Cup quarterfinal.
He angled his hands and pretended to shoot webs toward his family after completing the 4-0 rout on Friday night.
It was the third Marvel-inspired celebration for Messi since joining Inter Miami last month.
Messi channels Thor, Black Panther
His first attempt at becoming a Marvel superhero came in the game against Atlanta United on July 25.
He held his outstretched, cupped hand after scoring his second goal in that Leagues Cup encounter, with some theorizing that it was a “hold my beer” celebration from the new resident of the United States.
Messi’s wife Antonela revealed the true meaning of his celebration, sharing an image of Messi after the goal with a Thor gif, per Fox Sports.
He did another Marvel-themed celebration after scoring a goal against Orlando City.
The 36-year-old did Black Panther’s popular ‘Wakanda Forever’ pose, crossing both of his arms over his chest, per Talksport.
Messi continues goal scoring spree
The Marvel celebrations keep on coming for Messi as he can't stop scoring since moving to the United States last month.
He scored on his debut for Inter Miami, curling a free kick into the top corner in the 94th minute to hand the Herons a 2-1 victory over Cruz Azul.
