FootballSupercomputer Predicts Final 2023/24 Premier League Table Ahead of the New Season
- Man City have been backed to retain the Premier League title once again this season
- City were crowned champions last term after they beat Arsenal to the crown
- Pep Guardiola's charges will curtain-raise the 2023/24 campaign with a clash against Burnley
A supercomputer has predicted the final 2023/24 Premier League table ahead of the start of the new season.
The new campaign is set to kick off officially on Friday, August 11, with reigning champions Manchester City set to play the curtain-raiser against Vincent Kompany's Burnley.
According to The Mirror, City won the top flight for the fifth time in six years last term after seeing off Arsenal in a fierce title race in the final week of the season.
That triumph set them up to win a historic treble, becoming only the second Premier League team to achieve the feat after Manchester United, who did it in 1999.
While the Citizens will be hoping to retain the title once again, they are sure to face stiff competition from Arsenal and United, who have strengthened their squads this summer.
Supercomputer's EPL prediction
With only a day left before the new season kicks off, a supercomputer has predicted the final standings once the campaign comes to an end in May 2024.
According to a prediction from King C. Bonus, City are on course to retain the Premier League crown once again, with Arsenal predicted to finish second despite their heavy spending.
Liverpool are projected to make a return to Champions League football with a third-place finish, with the Red Devils contending for a fourth-place spot at the end of the campaign.
Chelsea, who endured a disastrous run of results last term, have been backed to finish fifth ahead of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
On the other end of the table, Wolves, Sheffield United, and Luton Town have been predicted to get relegated.
