  • Neymar Junior reportedly wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer
  • He spent six years at PSG after a world-record 2017 move from Barcelona in 2017
  • His numbers for both clubs are almost similar despite more time at Camp Nou

It's been six years since Neymar Junior made his world-record move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. His time with the French club hasn't been a resounding success and the Brazilian reportedly wants to leave the club.

The 31-year-old is said to have informed PSG of his desire to leave and would like to return to Barcelona - a club still struggling financially - with La Blaugrana buying him for €222 million in 2017.

The Ligue 1 champions have been open to selling him as new manager, Luis Enrique, builds a new team made up of younger players.

Neymar's current contract expires in 2025 and he could join Lionel Messi and possibly Kylian Mbappe in leaving the club this summer, per Sky Sports.

The Brazilian's time in France has been underwhelming. Injuries hindered his impact on PSG, per Sports Brief, especially in the Champions League - a competition they've tried to win since Qatar Sports Investments purchased the club.

Neymar was their first crown jewel before Mbappe arrived in 2018 but how do his stats at PSG compare to Barcelona?

Neymar's stats at Barcelona, PSG

Neymar became one of the best players in the world when he joined the Spanish giants from Santos in 2013. He formed a potent partnership with Messi and Luis Suarez that tormented defences all over Europe.

Neymar's time at Barcelona

The winger was probably at his best in Barcelona.

He made his debut for the Catalans on August 18, 2013, in a La Liga encounter against Levante, where he came on as a substitute. He replaced Alexis Sanchez in the 64th minute of the game they won 7-0.

Current Inter Miami coach, Gerardo Martino, was La Blaugrana's coach then.

Neymar was brilliant in Spain, especially in the 2014/14 season - his second at the club. He scored 39 goals in all competitions and provided 10 assists to help Enrique's side win a historic treble.

In total, he won eight trophies, including two La Ligas and a Champions League title.

Neymar's stint with PSG

It took a world record fee for PSG to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017. He remains the most expensive footballer of all time, and the impact of his transfer will be felt for years to come.

He made his PSG debut on August 13, 2017, in Ligue 1 against Guingamp, where the Parisians won 3-0. The former Santos man scored in the 82nd minute.

He helped the French giants win five Ligue 1 trophies, two French League Cups, and three French Cups.

At 31, Neymar's peak is almost over, but many teams will be vying for his signature because of his market value. Chelsea are another club linked with the forward.

Neymar meets football superfan IShowSpeed

Sports Brief also reported on YouTube sensation, IShowSpeed meeting Neymar in Japan, with the social media star ecstatic at meeting the Brazilian star.

The 18-year-old took photographs with the PSG winger and they sang and danced together. Previously, Speed met his idol of the sport - Cristiano Ronaldo.
