Liverpool are set to be tempted with a £60 million deal from Al-Ittihad for the services of their talisman Mohamed Salah.
Al-Ittihad, who won the Saudi league title last season at the expense of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, have already shown some intent in the transfer market by signing Karim Benzema and former Chelsea star N’golo Kante.
Liverpool have already lost two players to the Saudi Arabia top flight, with Fabinho joining Al-Ittihad, while Jordan Henderson moved to Al-Ettifaq.
Reports from Saudi television station Al-Riyadiah claim Al-Ittihad are in talks with Salah’s representatives over a potential move before the close of the summer transfer window.
The report claims Salah will earn a staggering £155m over two seasons, should he agree to join the Saudi champions.

“The offer must be attractive for the Egyptian star to come to play in Saudi Arabia. Salah still has a lot to offer in England.”
Salah recently signed a new bumper three-year deal with the Reds worth £350,000 per week at Liverpool.
While it is unlikely he will leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabia this season, the fact that clubs from the Middle East have pulled big names already suggests that anything is possible.
Salah’s former partner in crime Sadio Mane also left Bayern Munich for Al Nassr, where he teamed up with Cristiano Ronaldo.
The pair have already started games together and were crucial in Al Nassr’s 3-1 win over Raja CA in the Arab Club Champions Cup.
