Cristiano Ronaldo has followed Sadio Mane on Instagram following the ex-Liverpool star's arrival at Al-Nassr earlier this week.

The Senegal international signed a four-year deal with the Saudi Pro League side in the summer transfer window.

31-year-old Mane played alongside Ronaldo for the first time on August 3 as Al-Nassr drew with Zamalek to advance in the Arab Club Champions Cup.

Following his debut, Mane took to Instagram to congratulate Ronaldo for scoring the all-important goal against the Egyptian giants.

"A new page opens!!! Congratulations [on] your goal big man!!! On to the next round. Thank [you] Al Nassr FC fans, the support was amazing," he wrote on Instagram.

Upon spotting the message, Ronaldo quickly gave the African Player of the Year a follow.

Ronaldo is the most followed person on Instagram, making him the most popular athlete on the social media network.

Meanwhile, Mane is eyeing success with the 38-year-old in Saudi after a torrid spell in Germany with Bayern Munich last season.

"I am really happy to be part of you guys and really excited to start with you guys. And of course, our target is to win everything and I am sure everybody is ready for it. What a team. Let's stick together and we will be successful," he said previously, per Al-Nassr's official Twitter account.

Mane celebrates Ronaldo

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Mane congratulating Ronaldo for scoring the goal that sent Al-Nassr into the second round of the Arab Club Champions Cup.

With the star-studded Saudi Arabian side on the brink of elimination, the Portuguese veteran came to the rescue with a stunning header to cancel Zamalek's lead.

Mane, who came off the bench in his first appearance for the club, shared his excitement while celebrating the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for his match heroics.
