- Reinier Jesus’ failed bid to leave Real Madrid has forced the youngster to train alone
- Reinier has been excluded from Real Madrid’s first-team by Carlo Ancelotti this season
- The Brazilian youngster joined Real Madrid three years ago for €30mil
Real Madrid youngster Reinier Jesus is facing a hard time at the Spanish club after being forced to train alone, away from the rest of the first-team squad.
The 21-year-old returned to Los Blancos after the expiration of his loan spell with Girona last season but has failed to secure a spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the 2023/24 season.
According to Football Espana, Ancelotti had made it clear to Reinier that he has no part to play in Real Madrid’s campaign this season after the Brazilian was dropped from the club’s preseason tour of the United States.
Reinier, who joined Real Madrid three years ago from Flamengo, has been training at Valdebebas alone or occasionally with Real Madrid Castilla players who are due to leave the club.
Real Madrid are hoping to sell off the Brazilian youngster who signed for the club for €30 million in 2020 but his huge paycheck has been a stumbling block for his suitors.
Reiner Jesus loan move collapses
Meanwhile, Reiner Jesus’ loan move to Girona has collapsed after his spot was filled up, Madrid Universal reports.
With Girona signing Pablo Torre from Barcelona on loan for the 2023/24 season, there was no reason for the La Liga club to sign another midfielder, meaning that Reinier was left wanting.
Oriol Romeu’s move to Barcelona and Torre's coming to Girona as part of the deal forced them to back out of the deal for the 21-year-old Brazilian midfielder who spent last season on loan with them.

FootballAncelotti reveals Madrid’s major problem
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Carlo Ancelotti has suggested that Real Madrid’s pre-season tour has revealed the club’s major weakness heading into the 2023/24 season is their defence.
Los Blancos conceded three goals in as many games during their preseason tour after they were defeated 3-1 by Italian heavyweights Juventus in their final preseason game.
Ancelotti acknowledged that his Real Madrid team shipped far too many in, in these ties, after previously conceding three goals against arch-rivals Barcelona.
