Neymar Junior made a grand comeback, delivering a sensational goal against Jeonbuk during a pre-season match for Paris Saint-Germain.

The 31-year-old had been absent from PSG's pre-season games until the friendly encounter with the South Korean club on Thursday. His return to action had been shrouded in mystery amid rumours of a possible departure.

Having undergone ankle surgery in March, Neymar had been diligently following a specific recovery plan that kept him away from the pitch for a considerable period.

However, on August 3, Luis Enrique granted his star forward some game time, and Neymar seized the opportunity with an astonishing goal.

The Brazilian proved his worth and repaid the confidence placed in him by the former Barcelona manager with a remarkable display of skill.

Neymar netted a brace in the game as PSG cruised to a 3-0 victory over Jeonbuk, with Marco Asensio, assisted by Neymar, scoring the cushioning goal.

Neymar's situation at PSG

The 31-year-old's summer has been a tumultuous rollercoaster ride, filled with unexpected ups and downs.

Back in May, PSG openly declared Neymar's availability for transfer, even considering the possibility of a loan deal without an option to buy, in an attempt to save significant monthly expenses of €3.6 million, according to Spanish tabloid AS.

However, the situation drastically changed with the arrival of Luis Enrique as manager and the ongoing 'Mbappé case.' Adding to the complexity, Neymar's injury concern has now completely ruled out any possibility of him leaving the club.

Neymar himself is well aware of the circumstances, yet he continues to emphasize a message that has remained consistent for years: he is determined to lead PSG to glory in the Champions League.

Neymar wants to surprise Messi

Sports Brief also reported that Neymar Jr has shared his heartfelt intention of naming his next son after his best friend, Lionel Messi.

The bond between Neymar and Messi, cultivated during their time together at Barcelona, remains strong despite their recent separation after the Argentine opted to leave PSG for Inter Miami.

This connection has inspired Neymar to consider naming his potential future son after the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner
