- The winger has reportedly rejected Barcelona’s latest contract offer
- PSG’s new coach, Luis Enrique is believed to be eager to sign Dembele
Barcelona superstar, Ousmane Dembele is said to be at odds with his teammates at the Camp Nou as the Frenchman's exit nears.
Dembele's potential move to Paris Saint-Germain has been extensively discussed, with both Barcelona and the 26-year-old now in the final stages of finalising the agreement.
This transfer represents a substantial setback for the team, particularly for coach Xavi Hernandez, as the Spaniard had reportedly deemed the electrifying winger an indispensable component of his tactical plans.
Apart from the unhappiness at Dembele's departure within the Barcelona hierarchy, El Nacional has disclosed the existence of strained relationships between the ex-Dortmund star and certain teammates.
Dembele clashes with Barca stars
According to Sportskeeda, among these is Robert Lewandowski, who was unable to establish any off-pitch connection with the Frenchman. Their interactions were solely confined to sporting matters, with no personal camaraderie.
Another player encountering challenges with Dembele is the goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
The German shot-stopper couldn't gain Dembele's trust, partly due to language barriers and the Frenchman's reserved demeanour.
The report further states that Sergi Roberto attempted to lend support to Dembele during his early days at Camp Nou. Despite his efforts, the Barcelona captain faced challenges in establishing a close bond with him.
Lastly, Raphinha also experienced a rivalry with the French forward, as both were vying for the right-wing position. This competition resulted in a lack of communication between the two, contributing to the tense atmosphere within the squad.
Barcelona keen to keep Dembele
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona are desperate to keep Dembele at the Spanish side for a few more seasons.
