Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, intends to stay at the English club if Bayern Munich fail to land him by the time the new Premier League season kicks off.
With only nine days until the first game of the new campaign, the Bavarians are running out of time to secure the services of the 30-year-old.
Their latest bid of £85 million was once again turned down by Tottenham, who remain adamant their striker is worth at least £100mil.
According to The Independent, Bayern remain confident of a deal, although other close sources say there is a considerable difference between the two clubs’ valuation of Kane.
The German giants reportedly hope to lower the fee to £90mil, but Daniel Levy appears unwilling to budge.
Kane’s stance on the saga
As the two clubs attempt to find common ground, Kane has plans.
According to the Standard, the striker will remain in the Premier League if no deal is reached by the time Tottenham face Brentford in their opening game of the new term.
Kane is said to feel it would be improper for him to leave his boyhood club once the season has already started as it would mean he would be included in new manager, Ange Postecoglou’s plans.
Tottenham will come up against Brentford on August 13, but will face Shakhtar Donetsk and Barcelona in their final pre-season friendlies prior.
Bayern to spice Kane deal?
Sports Brief also reported on Bayern Munich 'spicing' the Kane deal as they continue their attempts to wrest the striker away from Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The EPL side are said to be interested in the Bavarians' French prodigy and could consider adding the 18-year-old to the deal to secure the services of the star striker.
