Yassine Bounou could be on his way to the Bundesliga next, with Bayern Munich interested in signing the Morocco goalkeeper as a back-up option for next season.
Bounou caught the world’s attention after his remarkable performance for the Atlas Lions at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he helped his country reach the semi-finals.
The Moroccan goalkeeper also played a key role for Sevilla as the Spanish club were crowned Europa League winners, defeating AS Roma in the final.
According to Get Football, Bayern have now identified Bounou as the perfect choice to replace Yan Sommer, who could be out of the club this summer.
Talks between the Bundesliga champions and Sevilla are said to be progressing well, with the Spanish club demanding at least €20 million before allowing the 32-year-old goalie to leave.
Paris Saint-Germain are also pushing to sign Bounou this summer as the stock for the Morocco goalkeeper has risen since the end of the 2022 World Cup tournament.
Bayern confident of signing Kane
Meanwhile, Bayern executives, Jan-Christian Dreesen and Marco Neppe, are confident the Bundesliga champions can still sign England forward, Harry Kane, this summer, Tribal Football reports.
Bavarians officials were in London on Monday for talks with Tottenham Hotspur chairman, Daniel Levy, over the future of the striker, who is the German club’s top target this transfer window.
Bayern Munich’s last offer of £70mil for Kane was rejected by Levy - who has been holding out for £100m - and the Bundesliga champions are pushing one more time to sign the Tottenham mainstay.
