Bathusi Aubaas could be unveiled by his new side before the start of the new DStv Premiership season.
The TS Galaxy defensive midfielder has been linked with a move to three big sides in the Premier Soccer League, and could be close to joining one of them.
SABC Sport has now reported that Aubaas will become Mamelodi Sundowns’ fifth signing of the season. He is seen as a direct replacement for Andile Jali, who recently left the DStv Premiership champions.
The publication’s sources claim that the Brazilians and the Rockets are in an 'advanced stage of the deal' and have already agreed on the transfer in principle.
Aubaas, who played 26 of TS Galaxy’s 30 games last season, has attracted much interest, especially after making his Bafana Bafana debut.
Aubaas no longer Galaxy star
With many fans begging their clubs to bring in the player, The Rockets owner, Tim Sukazi, shocked everyone when he confirmed the player had been sold.
As noted by Goal, Aubaas watched from the stands when Galaxy unveiled their squad for the coming season. Sukazi then explained they had 'found a new home' for the player, but would wait for the other team to confirm the deal.
All eyes will be on Sundowns now to see if they unveil the talented midfielder as their latest signing. The champions have already brought in Lesiba Nku, Junior Mendieta, Thapelo Maseko, and striker Lucas Costa.

As Sports Brief also reported, the midfielder will certainly be playing his club football at a new side next season.
