Lionel Messi has taken Miami by storm, and his supporters can’t get enough of him.

One fan recorded the incredible scene, with Messi needing security to move through a crowd as he was departing a local pedestrian mall.

The fans had their phones out to capture greatness on video, with most of them chanting Messi as he made his way to his vehicle.

Messi swarmed by Argentina fans

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is no stranger to dealing with his adoring fans out in public.

He was swarmed by thousands of fans when he returned to Argentina for the first time since celebrating their World Cup win last December, per CBS Sports.

Fans who wanted to see Messi in the flesh gathered outside a restaurant where the World Cup hero and his family were eating.

The football icon, who is treated like a god in his home country, had to be guided out of the food establishment as he made his way into a sea of people.

Messi's popularity soaring in US

Messi’s popularity in the United States is expected to rise even further, with the soccer star off to a strong start with his new MLS team Inter Miami.

He has scored three goals and dished out one assist in his first two Leagues Cup matches for Inter Miami.

He opened his goal-scoring account in dramatic fashion, scoring a free kick in second-half injury time to give Inter Miami a 2-1 win over Cruz Azul on his debut.

He continued banging in the goals in his next match against Atlanta United. He didn’t waste any time adding to his goal tally, scoring twice in the opening 22 minutes, per ESPN.

He failed to grab his first hat trick for the club, but he did manage to record his first assist in the United States in that contest.

Messi created Robert Taylor’s goal in the 53rd minute, which gave Inter Miami a commanding 4-0 lead.

Messi and Becks hang out

Sports Brief recently reported on Messi enjoying a night out with David Beckham and Sergio Busquets.

They spent some time at a Japanese-themed restaurant owned by Bad Bunny.

The football legends were accompanied by their wives during their get-together.
