Arsenal legend Paul Merson has made his Premier League title prediction for next season, with the 2023/24 campaign underway.
A number of teams, including reigning champions Man City, Arsenal, and United, will be bidding to secure the domestic crown next term.
The Gunners came close to carting home the trophy last season but were beaten to it by City in the final weeks of the campaign.
According to Metro UK, Mikel Arteta's charges sat on top of the standings for 248 days, only for a wobble run of results in the final fixtures to deny them a chance to lift the title.

FootballOn their part, Man United sealed a third-place finish, ahead of Newcastle, who settled for the final Champions League spot.
With only a few days left before the 2023/24 Premier League season kicks off, Merson has made his prediction on who he believes will win the title.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, the pundit tipped City to retain the trophy once again, insisting only complacency will see them miss out.
The Englishman further backed the Red Devils to be in the mix for the title, but only if they can land Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer.
"I can’t look past Manchester City for the Premier League title," Merson said.
"Arsenal could give them a run for their money, but City’s bench is very strong and Declan Rice will need to get used to the way Arsenal play
"A lot depends on whether Manchester United can get Harry Kane. If they do, they’re massive challengers for the Premier League title. If they don’t, they’ll still be fighting for a place in the top four," he added.
